Install just OSAnalyst and you can exploit our repository and monitor social networking sites. Install both systems for complete autonomy to define your mix of sites, alerts and topics. OSRepository is  the main site monitoring software. This is a Java application which can be installed as a service under Windows or a as a process under Linux. It is also scalable and could run on anything from a laptop to a top of range server. The system can run several hundred threads in parallel, constantly checking sites for new links and indexing not only those new links but also the complete text of the linked pages. It has been shown to store and index over 80,000 pages per day on a standard server.

OSAnalyst is an interface written using Adobe AIR to provide access to the information gathered by the OSRepository process. The OSAnalyst can be installed on any PC or MAC and require Adobe AIR to run (which is a simple install). The system provides an interface for managing the data sources (web sites etc) that are monitored by the system as well as a query interface allowing a user to create and store quite complex searches to extract the information they are interested in. There is also the facility to create Newsletters in PDF format based upon this information (plus any information the analyst would like to add), and also to publish this moderated information to other users using a variety of channels (eMail, RSS etc.).
